SHIFT PATTERN- 4 on 5 off, 5 on 4 off Rotating (Days and Nights)
We are currently recruiting a Senior Shift Technician for our client. They will undertake electrical and mechanical reactive and planned maintenance on a range of building services for the Client Estate. This work will be undertaken on a shift basis to ensure 24hr cover.
The main duties of this role consist of managing all subcontractors working for the client and liaising with the on-site client team. Carrying out electrical testing, rewiring and installation works to 18th Edition IEE Regs. Conduct a high standard of planned preventative and reactive maintenance. Carry out electrical and mechanical M&E PPM'S and reactive tasks. Use diagnostic equipment and work from technical manuals and drawings.
Other responsibilities within this role include, identifying visual plant defects, warning lights and indicators, and carrying out duties in compliance with the client's Engineering Services Policies and Procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of building services and be proficient in the maintenance of power, distribution and switching, motor controls, lighting systems, stand by generators, control systems, electrical test procedures and certification, water treatment systems and fire alarm/PA systems.
They will hold qualifications such as City & Guilds craft certificate/ONC or equivalent, Electrical and/or Mechanical bias, recognised craft apprenticeship, training certificate to IEE 18th Edition, training courses appropriate to the work area, water treatment experience and or qualifications and 2 years' experience in a similar role.
